About the Job
At Stanza they are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Compliance Specialist to ensure seamless compliance with regulatory frameworks across India. This role demands a sharp legal mind, operational understanding, and the ability to work across state-specific regulations.
Eligibility
LLB/LLM. with 7-10 years of relevant experience in legal and compliance functions
Strong working knowledge of corporate law, labour laws, FSSAI regulations, and municipal licensing frameworks
Prior experience in real estate, hospitality, or operational startups is preferred Proven ability to manage multi-jurisdictional compliance requirements
Exceptional legal drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
Ensure end-to-end legal and regulatory compliance across all states of operation
Manage and renew state-specific licenses and permits (e.g., Trade, FSSAI, Labour, Shops & Establishments)
Draft, review, and manage contracts, compliance documentation, legal notices, and audit reports
Interface with local/state authorities, regulatory agencies, and exterial legal counsel
Conduct internal compliance audits and support teams with corrective actions
Track legal and regulatory developments, providing strategic compliance insights
Monitor corporate-level compliance status and ensure timely filings/reporting
Lead training initiatives to improve legal awareness and compliance adherence across field tearns
