As a Joint Advisor (Legal) at TRAI, you would be at the forefront of shaping and interpreting the legal framework governing India's telecommunications sector. Your responsibilities would encompass:
Policy Formulation and Legal Drafting: Assisting in the development of policies and drafting statutory regulations, directions, and rules pertinent to the telecom industry.
Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Engaging in legal proceedings, including representation in courts and tribunals, to address issues related to telecom regulations.
Legal Advisory: Providing expert legal advice on matters concerning telecom laws, regulations, and compliance.
Quasi-Judicial Functions: Performing quasi-judicial functions, such as adjudicating disputes and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
Coordination with Stakeholders: Collaborating with various governmental and regulatory bodies to ensure cohesive policy implementation.
π Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Service Requirements: Officers who are:
Holding an equivalent post in Level-13 on a regular basis, or
Have five years of regular service in Level-12, or
Have twelve years of regular service in Group A, with at least five years in Level-12.
Educational Qualifications: A Masterβs or Bachelor's degree in:
Law, Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, Engineering, Science, or Humanities from a recognized university/institution.
Alternatively, membership in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India, with requisite experience in the relevant field.
Age Limit: Candidates should not exceed 56 years of age as of the last date of application submission.
πΌ Pay Scale
The position offers a competitive salary in the Pay Level-13 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), ranging from βΉ1,23,100 to βΉ2,15,900 per month, along with applicable allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA) and House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per government rules.
π Location
The posting is based at TRAI Headquarters in New Delhi. However, depending on the organization's requirements, the officer may be transferred to other locations across India.
