📜 Bare Act Text (Simplified):

Section 157(1): Every company shall, within 15 days of receiving the Director Identification Number (DIN) from a director under Section 156, furnish the DIN to the Registrar in the prescribed form and manner along with prescribed fees.

Section 157(2): If a company fails to furnish the DIN within the specified time:

The company shall be liable to a penalty of ₹25,000, and

In case of continuing failure, a further penalty of ₹100 per day, up to a maximum of ₹1,00,000.
