🔹 Section 211 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC)

Title: False charge of offence made with intent to injure

📜 Text Summary:

When a person knowingly makes a false accusation that someone has committed an offence,

And does so with the intent to cause injury to that person,

That person is guilty under Section 211.

Key Elements:

The accusation must be false.

The person making the accusation knows it is false.

The accusation is made intentionally to harm or injure the person accused.

⚖️ Punishment:

Imprisonment up to 2 years, or

Fine, or

Both.

🧠 Example:

If someone falsely accuses a neighbor of theft to get them into trouble or damage their reputation, that person can be prosecuted under Section 211 IPC.
